Praise be unto Him Who hath fashioned and brought forth every configuration and form, inasmuch as they have accepted their own selves in the station of signs and significations, of essences and identities, of being and of verses; and thereafter in the realm of psychic realities and indications, and then in the world of individual “I-nesses” and tokens. And yet, beyond all these stations and intimations hath God ordained that which no knowledge of the people of names and attributes can ever encompass, and over which neither the rule of allusion nor the range of infinitude can pass. Verily, God embraceth all things, in the stations of command and prohibition, through the signs of creation.

And praise be unto God Who hath made all to realize that the way is barred to the knowledge of His very Essence, and hath withheld every proof from ascending unto the court of the nearness of His Presence and attaining unto the sanctuary of His majesty; that all beings may be assured that, in the station of recognizing the manifestation of the Essence, names and attributes are effaced and the oneness of God is established—through that wherewith God hath revealed Himself unto them, by them, from the first wellsprings of causes unto the rank of return, in the station of the unity of the Essence and the recognition of the Manifestations of holiness in the kingdom of justice, of realities and of certitude.

Thus too, through the forthshining of the modes and emanations of the mines of knowledge, in the broad expanse of pre-eternity and receptivity, man is at length led down unto the rank of dust.

And praise be unto God Who hath sent down in the Book all that men require of ordinances touching the beginning and the ultimate return, that none may remain in doubt regarding His decrees, and that the ordinance of every Name may be witnessed in every verse of the Book—according to that which God hath revealed in the Qur’an, so long as the judgment of the Bayan be not forgotten: “And all things have We encompassed in a manifest Imam.”

And praise be unto God Who decreeth what He willeth, as He willeth; Who willeth, pre-ordaineth, and executeth in His knowledge whatsoever pertaineth to all contingent things; Who hath given effect to the degrees of the manifestations of His creation, that ye may find them one and all walking in the path of impotence and remembrance—according to His word: “Verily, praise be to God, the Lord of all worlds.”
