In the Name of the Most High, the Most Great

Praise be to God Who purifies whomsoever He willeth through His wisdom. Then those who have believed in God and His signs shall be gathered unto God thy Lord. Verily He knoweth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is on earth, and He judgeth between all with justice concerning that wherein they differ. We have indeed tried men with Our signs. Say: Those who follow the Command of God—these are they who are guided. And those who follow their idle fancies—God will never accept any of their deeds, and these are they who are the lost.

Those have indeed disbelieved who have said that the mention of thy Lord’s name claimed divine revelation and readings, then ruled on authority and its sisters. God shall slay them for what they have fabricated against Me in God’s religion, and these are they who are the lost.

Say: Verily I am a servant who hath believed in God and His signs, and I say not unto you that I know the unseen, nor do I claim any sign from heaven, but rather I recite unto you these clear verses from the Book of God for a people who remember. Say: Were I to abrogate a decree or command a new decree, then in that moment I would be bound by a true verse from the Book of God. But now verily I am a confirmer of that which ye possess of the pure religion.

O people, fear God and think not evil thoughts lest ye be overthrown and become abased. We have indeed read the book which thou didst reveal before, and when We learned the decree of trial We took it not. God worketh according to truth and verily He is the Knower of the unseen. Fear not but rejoice, for God shall truly pay their rewards without diminishment. We have indeed detailed the decrees of all things in the Book of Justice according to a determined measure.

Remember Ali in that land, then those who followed Me—these are they who are the triumphant. Say to whoever told thee to speak again about that matter: Verily I inform thee that today I seek forgiveness of God thy Lord, the Lord of the heavens and earth, for God shall ask on the Day of Resurrection concerning that wherein men differed. Say: Verily Yahya turned away from the life of this world and purchased the life of the hereafter by ascending the ultimate heights, and he doth warn in God’s religion all who denied and turned away. Say: Or is it that he hath not attained what he desired? For unto God belong the Last and the First.

And praise be to God, the Lord of the Throne and the Most High, He is the Most Exalted.
