BB00204: Ma Qala’l-Mir’at

In the Name of the Exalted, the Generous!

By God, the One, the Steadfast! We have sent forth in the land of contingent beings a luminous Letter Tha to illumine all who dwell in the kingdom with its light, that they may become victorious helpers of the All-Merciful, and that they may testify within themselves that He is the Truth, there is no God but Him, the Lord, and He is powerful over all things. O all things! This is the way of the Lord that was established aforetime and was known. Verily We have sent down unto you the Letter Tha that you may become prostrators before the All-Merciful, that you may enter into the true Faith of God and become in His Day like a visible ruby, that you may be illumined by His light and return unto Him and appear before His presence. We desire that you become servants of God, and bear witness within yourselves that he is a servant in God’s kingdom and hath believed in God his Lord and was a servant victorious. God testifieth that he is God’s servant and was a prostrating servant before God.

O people of the Concourse in the realm of divinity! Hearken unto the melody of the Letter Tha in the land of mystery with the tongue of the Lord, the Most High, the Most Exalted, that “Verily I am God, there is no God but Him, the Lord of all the worlds. Verily I am the Mystery within mysteries, I was the visible cloud of the Almighty. Verily I am the Light within lights, I was the manifest seat of the Compeller. Verily I am the burning, sparking Fire, I was the consumer of veils. Verily I am the Servant, I was surging in the ocean of servitude. Verily I am the Fruit, I was singing the secret of the Blessed Tree to its leaves.

Verily I am the Leaf in the Tree, I was chanting with the secret of Tha upon Mount Sinai. Verily I am the Eternal Fruit with the Primal Leaf in the Final Tree, I was the attractor. Verily I am the Letter Tha upon the mountain of faithfulness with the secret call on the Day of Gathering, manifest before the All-Merciful. Verily I am the letter Mim between Tha and Ra, remembered. Verily I am the letter Ra, I was visible in the letter Jim of the word Thamar (fruit). Verily I am the Singer on the mountain of contingent beings with the mysteries of the divine cloud, I was the chanter. Verily I am the Warbler in the branches with the Blessed Tree in the leaves of Sinai in the horizon of beginning, which was known. Verily I am the Decree, I was innate in the judgment of beginning.”

We have sent down verses resplendent with endless adorning ornaments, that all may hear the praise of the Letter Tha in the land of Ha’ and become prostrators before God, and that none may say “I heard not the melody of Tha surging in the ocean of glory.” O Eternal Tha! All have heard the verses flowing from the attraction of the All-Merciful in wondrous wise, and behold the countenances in the horizon of the divine cloud with the Most Hidden Secret, the Flowing Attractor, made manifest. And proclaim from My true tongue that “Verily I am God, there is no God but I. I have created all things by My command, and verily Muhammad is My servant and My Messenger, and verily the Letters of the Living are My friends, and likewise the Twin Gates are My doors, for verily I am God, there is no God but I. I have created the heavens and earth by My command more swiftly than uttering the word ʿBe.”’ And We placed in the heaven a shining sun that all might be illumined by its light and enter into My true Faith and become prostrators before My true countenance.

And verily We said unto thee beforetime: “O Eternal Tha! We had previously asked thee how thou hadst known God, thy Lord, the Lord of all things, and thou didst answer saying:”Thou art God, there is no God but Thee. Thou art the Truth, and besides Thee there existeth no Lord for all the worlds from time immemorial.” O Eternal Letter Tha! Be thou assured that We have guided thee to Our path and have raised thee from the resting-place of thy heart that thou mayest be a sign and proof unto Me. Bear thou witness within thyself that verily I am the Truth, there is no God but Me, and I am the Most Exalted, the Most Great.

Pour forth verses from My divine truth throughout the realms of glory as a new revelation, and establish all things within all things through the most hidden mystery, from which melodious strains are wafted upon the Lote Tree of Paradise from the beginning. Draw forth the letters of negation through the mighty attraction at the end of cycles, through the mystery of the All-Wise, the All-Seeing, as a sprinkling of grace. Say: Verily I am the Truth, there is no God but Me, and besides Me there existeth no Beloved One for all the worlds. I am He Who created thee on a day when thou wert nothing. Prostrate thyself before My True Face, for thus have We raised thee up and made thee a sign before the countenance of My Beauty, that thou mayest be a dispeller.

Sanctify the verses of attraction before the gathering of the beloved ones that they may cause a mighty trembling, and give all to drink from the water of attraction from the cup of My power—this hath been decreed for all as inevitable. Give thanks unto God, thy Lord, by writing upon these white pages, for here thy Lord, the Most Exalted, calleth unto thee with the tongue of Ha above Baha as an innate calling.

O Thou Letter Ta of Pre-existence! Make all to be in all through the attractive distilled mystery, and chant in My inner truth that I am verily the Mystery from before and after, having been of appearance. And verily I am God, there is no God but I, the Truth, having descended at the Point before the Letter Ba through the wind of inaccessibility. And verily I am the Ba on Mount Sinai, having been decreed through the mystery of execution. And verily I am the Point in the mantle, having dwelt on the mount of blindness at the Sinai of Glory beneath the Ba in the crimson fire. And verily I am the Alif, having been made curved for the attractive, sparkling line. And verily I am the Ba after the Alif in the seal after the beginning, having been of the seal.

O Thou Letter Tha of Pre-existence! Make all to be in the style of the Most Praiseworthy, Most Distinguished, Most Unified, through the mystery of the Point in the mantle, brilliantly. And adorn the verses from the mystery of light with wondrous melody in the Mother Book, radiantly. And let the songs be from My tongue of truth with the line of beginning in the veil of the seal, blazingly. And send down the sermons in the tongue of the people of holiness from thy Lord in mystery, as revelation. And wait not for My true judgment less than an atom—that is from Our judgment which was adorned on the mount of blindness in the Glory. And verily We are the witnesses to all and were powerful over all things.

All in all through the attractive, sparkling, distilled mystery in the vast ocean of the Almighty for the mystery of cycles, wisely. And trill from My true utterance with the bees of beginning with the flies of the seal, distillingly. Say: Verily I am the Truth, having been the Beloved of all from before and after, as I was in the mystery beloved. And verily praise belongs to Me in the beginning and the seal, and all are My servants, and none has known Me save Myself. And verily I have been above all, dominant, and among the compellers compelling, and among the conquerors conquering, and among the illuminators illuminating, and among the subjugators subjugating. And all shall testify within themselves that there is no God but I, having been powerful over whatsoever I will.

Say: Verily all things are such—this is God’s way that hath been before, and it was in the Mother Book decreed. And verily We have sent down the Letter Tha from Our presence that all may become prostrators unto God and that all may become seers unto God.
