In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

In the name of God, the Most Inaccessible, the Most Holy

Glorified art Thou, O Lord! Verily, Thou art the Creator of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever lieth between them, the Knower of the unseen and the visible. Not a thing escapeth Thy knowledge, whether in the heavens or on earth or whatsoever lieth between them, and nothing can frustrate Thee in the kingdom of Command or Creation or in aught else besides these. Thou hast distinguished Thyself above all things, and through Thy loftiness Thou hast transcended the elevation of all things, and through Thy grandeur Thou hast risen above the exaltation of all things.

Thou art the Ever-Existing through the reality of Thine essence, and Thou art the Creator of all things through Thine eternal being, and Thou art the One Who remaineth after all things through Thy pristine essence. None of Thy servants shall ever know Thee, nor shall any dweller of Thy earth and heaven describe Thee as befitteth the sublimity of Thy glory and the exaltation of Thy sovereignty. Thou hast ever been one God, single, unique, ever-living, self-subsisting, eternal, everlasting. Thou dost send down in every condition from Thy presence upon the heaven of Thy might, and Thou dost favor the people of Thy kingdom with the wondrous holy gifts of Thy sovereign grace, as Thou willest, through the signs of Thy creative Lordship.

Therefore, O my God, I beseech Thee to send Thy blessings upon Muhammad and the Manifestations of His countenance, such as Thou hast ordained in the Book through the names of Thy Lordship, and to shower upon the Tree of Thy love the wondrous effects of Thy holy grace as befitteth the loftiness and exaltation of Thy bestowing holiness in the kingdom of glory and majesty. For verily Thou, O my God, hast ever known every soul’s position of recognition of Thee in its journey and abode, and Thou dost send down upon whomsoever Thou willest the wondrous expressions of Thy favors in their journey and dwelling place.

Thou art He Who hath created this creation for naught else save to worship Thee, to glorify Thee, to sanctify Thee, and to follow that which hath been sent down from Thee from the places of Thy holy eternity and the wonders of Thy glorious oneness. How then can I thank Thee, O Lord my God, when my thanksgiving to Thee merits yet further thanks? And how can I praise Thee, O my Lord, when my praise of Thee necessitates yet further praise as befitteth the sublimity of Thy holy majesty and the exaltation of Thy glorious might?

Thou art He before Whom prostrate all who are in the kingdoms of Thy earth and Thy heaven, yet all this, O my God, is only to the measure of what Thou hast created in the realm of creation, not according to what Thy Self deserveth. Glorified art Thou! There is no God but Thee, alone with no partner. Thou givest life and causeth death, then causeth death and givest life, and verily Thou art the Ever-Living Who dieth not. In Thy grasp is the kingdom of all things. Thou createst what Thou willest by Thy command. Verily, Thou art powerful over all things.

There is no glory save in believing in Thee and following the ways of Thy good-pleasure, and there is nothing for those who do not arise for the stations of Thy Cause regarding Thy trusted ones. Therefore, O God, inspire all Thy servants with the path of Thy good-pleasure, and cause all Thy servants, O Lord, to know the wondrous signs of Thy creation. Send down, O God, upon all who have believed in Thee and Thy signs, every good thing which Thy knowledge hath encompassed and which Thou hast sent down in the Tablet. Verily, Thou art powerful over all things.

That which descendeth from Thee unto all things hath ever been in equal measure, for Thy independence from all things—to this all do testify—and the dependence of all things in their essence upon Thee—this all do affirm. Therefore I beseech Thee, O Lord my God, at this moment to sever every soul from that which veils it from Thee in Thy presence, and to grant every soul that which draweth it nigh unto Thee, and to send down upon him who hath turned to Thee that which is best for him in his return and his resting place. Guard him in the pathways of Thy love from that which Thou wouldst not wish to befall Thy loved ones, and cause him to return unto him from whom he departed with Thy leave, in accordance with what Thou dost desire.

And if Thou hast ordained for him, O my God, to present himself before one who seeketh to discover the features of that station, let him not utter that which would sadden any soul, but rather speak that which would bring tranquility to every soul, for this is what hath been sent down in the Book and what Thou hast commanded in the verses to all Thy servants. Through Thy grace and mercy, O Lord, do Thou calm all the hearts of Thy loved ones in such wise as to gladden their hearts, their spirits, their souls and their bodies, through Thy bounty and favor, then through Thy grace and generosity. Verily, Thou art powerful over all things. Thy mercy hath preceded Thy believing servants, therefore cause all Thy believing servants, O Lord, to enter into the depths of the ocean of Thy love.
