BB00177: Du’a’ li-Ithbati’l-ithbat (prayer for the affirmation of affirmation)

In the Name of God, the Most Unapproachable, the Most Holy!

O God! I beseech Thee by Thine eternity which is exalted above all things, to bring forth, through Thy power, the Tree of Affirmation and whatsoever pertaineth thereunto, according to Thy will. Verily, Thou art the Powerful, the Mighty.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy creative power which is inaccessible above all things, to bring forth the Tree of Affirmation and whatsoever pertaineth thereunto, according to Thy will. Verily, Thou art the Powerful, the Mighty.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy […] which is sanctified above all things, to bring forth the Tree of Affirmation and whatsoever pertaineth thereunto, according to Thy will. Verily, Thou art the Powerful, the Mighty.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy steadfastness which is transcendent above all things, to bring forth the Tree of Affirmation and whatsoever pertaineth thereunto, according to Thy will. Verily, Thou art the Powerful, the Mighty.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy dominion which is victorious over all things, to bring forth the Tree of Affirmation and whatsoever pertaineth thereunto, according to Thy will. Verily, Thou art the Powerful, the Mighty.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy life which endureth after all things, to bring forth the Tree of Affirmation and whatsoever pertaineth thereunto, according to Thy will. Verily, Thou art the Powerful, the Mighty.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy creative power which is established above all things, to bring forth the Tree of Affirmation and whatsoever pertaineth thereunto, according to Thy will. Verily, Thou art the Powerful, the Mighty.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy bounty which is everlasting above all things, to bring forth the Tree of Affirmation and whatsoever pertaineth thereunto, according to Thy will. Verily, Thou art the Powerful, the Mighty.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy […] which is hidden above all things, to bring forth the Tree of Affirmation and whatsoever pertaineth thereunto, according to Thy will. Verily, Thou art the Powerful, the Mighty.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy mercy which encompasseth all things and is exalted above all things, to bring forth the Tree of Affirmation and whatsoever pertaineth thereunto, according to Thy will. Verily, Thou art the Powerful, the Mighty.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy […] which is inaccessible above all things, to bring forth the Tree of Affirmation and whatsoever pertaineth thereunto, according to Thy will. Verily, Thou art the Powerful, the Mighty.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy glory which is sanctified above all things, to bring forth the Tree of Affirmation and whatsoever pertaineth thereunto, according to Thy will. Verily, Thou art the Powerful, the Mighty.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy witness which hath sovereignty over all things, to bring forth the Tree of Affirmation and whatsoever pertaineth thereunto, according to Thy will. Verily, Thou art the Powerful, the Mighty.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy self-sufficiency which possesseth all things, to bring forth the Tree of Affirmation and whatsoever pertaineth thereunto, according to Thy will. Verily, Thou art the Powerful, the Mighty.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy assurance which illumineth above all things, to bring forth the Tree of Affirmation and whatsoever pertaineth thereunto, according to Thy will. Verily, Thou art the Powerful, the Mighty.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy purity which purifieth all things, to bring forth the Tree of Affirmation and whatsoever pertaineth thereunto, according to Thy will. Verily, Thou art the Powerful, the Mighty.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy manifestation which is inaccessible above all things, to bring forth the Tree of Affirmation and whatsoever pertaineth thereunto, according to Thy will. Verily, Thou art the Powerful, the Mighty.

I beseech Thee by Thy loftiness which is exalted above all loftiness to bring forth the Tree of Affirmation and whatsoever pertaineth thereunto through Thy power according to Thy will. Verily, Thou art the Mighty, the Powerful.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy riches which are above all things to bring forth the Tree of Affirmation and whatsoever pertaineth thereunto through Thy power according to Thy will. Verily, Thou art the Mighty, the Powerful.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy singleness which is unique above all things to bring forth the Tree of Affirmation and whatsoever pertaineth thereunto through Thy power according to Thy will. Verily, Thou art the Mighty, the Powerful.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy might which dominateth over all things to bring forth the Tree of Affirmation and whatsoever pertaineth thereunto through Thy power according to Thy will. Verily, Thou art the Mighty, the Powerful.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy grandeur which is inaccessible above all things to bring forth the Tree of Affirmation and whatsoever pertaineth thereunto through Thy power according to Thy will. Verily, Thou art the Mighty, the Powerful.

O God! I beseech Thee by the standard of Thy sovereignty which is independent above all things to bring forth the Tree of Affirmation and whatsoever pertaineth thereunto through Thy power according to Thy will. Verily, Thou art the Mighty, the Powerful.

O God! I beseech Thee by the kingdom of Thy glory which is exalted above all things to bring forth the Tree of Affirmation and whatsoever pertaineth thereunto through Thy power according to Thy will. Verily, Thou art the Mighty, the Powerful.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy luminosity which is illumined above all things to bring forth the Tree of Affirmation and whatsoever pertaineth thereunto through Thy power according to Thy will. Verily, Thou art the Mighty, the Powerful.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy oneness which prevaileth over all things to bring forth the Tree of Affirmation and whatsoever pertaineth thereunto through Thy power according to Thy will. Verily, Thou art the Mighty, the Powerful.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy power which hath ascendancy over all things to bring forth the Tree of Affirmation and whatsoever pertaineth thereunto through Thy power according to Thy will. Verily, Thou art the Mighty, the Powerful.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy divinity which is inaccessible above all things to bring forth the Tree of Affirmation and whatsoever pertaineth thereunto through Thy power according to Thy will. Verily, Thou art the Mighty, the Powerful.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy ruby essence which is manifest above all things to bring forth the Tree of Affirmation and whatsoever pertaineth thereunto through Thy power according to Thy will. Verily, Thou art the Mighty, the Powerful.

Glorified art Thou, O God! This is the Friday of the month which Thou hast magnified. Therefore, O God, send down upon the Tree of Thy love, its root, branch, twigs, leaves and fruits that which beseemeth the loftiness of Thy holy exaltation and the sublimity of Thine inaccessibility. O God! Preserve those who have embraced the Bayan lest they be counted among the Tree of Negation in the hereafter, after Thou hadst made them of the Tree of Thine affirmation. For by Thy glory […] how Thou hast made them the Tree of Negation thereafter, and how Thou hast made him who was of the Tree of Negation before to be of the Tree of Affirmation now. Therefore, O God, have mercy upon those who have embraced the Bayan with all Thy mercy, for perchance they know not Thy Manifestation on the Day of Resurrection when the Tree of Thy oneness shall appear and the Tree of Fire shall be negated in its shade, and there shall enter therein one who knoweth it not, though Thy proof is manifest which every soul can comprehend, and Thy signs on that Day are evident which every being can recognize. But since Thou doest what Thou willest and decreest what Thou pleasest, none can utter a word of negation.

From the Tree of the Qur’an, how hast Thou made me as the Tree of Affirmation, and the letter of affirmation from the Tree of the Qur’an, how hast Thou made me as the letter of negation, when Thy proof concerning them both is complete and Thy Word with them hath reached its fulfillment. Blessed is he who is delivered from the fire and entered into Paradise through the decree of his Lord. O God! Create Thou in every fire which Thou knowest that it reacheth one of Thy beloved ones from Thy mercy that which would comfort them, then lift it from them, for that is Thy trust, and there is no power nor strength except through Thee, and unto Thee is the journey’s end.

And O God! Send Thy blessings upon the Primary Letters in every condition and before every condition, that I may bear witness unto Thee concerning those who follow these Letters, that they shall verily enter beneath the shadow of Thine affirmation on the Day of Resurrection, according to what Thou hast ordained for those Letters through Thy grace and Thy mercy. Verily, Thou art the All-Knowing, the Inaccessible, the Powerful.
