BB00192: Du’a’ li-Ithbati’l-ithbat (prayer for the affirmation of affirmation)

In the Name of God, the Most Unapproachable, the Most Holy!

Glorified art Thou, O my God! I bear witness before Thee and all things to that which Thou hast caused me to witness: that there is none other God but Thee, and that the Letters of the Unity are the nearest of Thy names unto Thee in Thy Book. Unto Thee belongeth might and majesty, unto Thee belongeth glory and beauty, unto Thee belongeth power and perfection, unto Thee belongeth strength and dominion, unto Thee belongeth grandeur and independence. Thou hast ever been one God, single, unique, eternal, self-subsisting, ever-abiding, everlasting, self-dependent. Thou hast taken unto Thyself neither consort nor son, and Thou hast had no partner in Thy creation, nor any protector in what Thou hast fashioned. Thou hast exalted Thyself through Thy might above all created things, and hast magnified Thyself through Thy sovereign might above all who dwell in the kingdoms of earth and heaven, and hast elevated Thyself in the pure essence of Thy camphor-like nature above all who inhabit the realms of names and attributes.

I beseech Thee, O my God, at this moment—inasmuch as Thou art powerful over whatsoever Thou pleaseth, and invincible in whatsoever Thou willeth, and exalted above whatsoever Thou hast ordained, and transcendent above whatsoever Thou hast decreed, and sanctified above whatsoever Thou hast executed, and dominant over whatsoever Thou hast established, and triumphant over whatsoever Thou hast sent down—through Thy Divinity which is supreme over all things, to preserve every essence of Alif that is related to the Tree of Affirmation, through Thy power over whatsoever Thou pleaseth. Verily, Thou art powerful over all things.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy transcendence which is supreme over all things to preserve every essence of Alif that is related to the Tree of Affirmation, through Thy power over whatsoever Thou pleaseth. Verily, Thou art powerful over all things.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy omnipotence which is invincible over all things to preserve every essence of Jim that is related to the Tree of Affirmation, through Thy power over whatsoever Thou pleaseth. Verily, Thou art powerful over all things.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thine eternity which is exalted over all things to preserve every essence of Dal that is related to the Tree of Affirmation, through Thy power over whatsoever Thou pleaseth. Verily, Thou art powerful over all things.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy Identity which is transcendent over all things to preserve every essence of Ha that is related to the Tree of Affirmation, through Thy power over whatsoever Thou pleaseth. Verily, Thou art powerful over all things.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy Sovereignty which standeth above all things to preserve every essence of Vav that is related to the Tree of Affirmation, through Thy power over whatsoever Thou pleaseth. Verily, Thou art powerful over all things.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy Creating Power which prevaileth over all things to preserve every essence of Za that is related to the Tree of Affirmation, through Thy power over whatsoever Thou pleaseth. Verily, Thou art powerful over all things.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy Life which endureth above all things to preserve every essence of Ha that is related to the Tree of Affirmation, through Thy power over whatsoever Thou pleaseth. Verily, Thou art powerful over all things.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy Purity which is sanctified above all things to preserve every essence of Ta that is related to the Tree of Affirmation, through Thy power over whatsoever Thou pleaseth. Verily, Thou art powerful over all things.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy Certitude which is established in the hearts of Thy loved ones to preserve every essence of Ya that is related to the Tree of Affirmation, through Thy power over whatsoever Thou pleaseth. Verily, Thou art powerful over all things.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy Camphorlike Nature, which purifieth all things, to preserve every essence of Kaf that belongeth to the Tree of Affirmation, through Thy power over whatsoever Thou willest. Verily, Thou art powerful over all things.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy Subtle Nature, which shineth resplendent above all things, to preserve every essence of Lam that belongeth to the Tree of Affirmation, through Thy power over whatsoever Thou willest. Verily, Thou art powerful over all things.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy Sovereign Nature, which ruleth over all things, to preserve every essence of Mim that belongeth to the Tree of Affirmation, through Thy power over whatsoever Thou willest. Verily, Thou art powerful over all things.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy Luminous Nature, which illumineth all things, to preserve every essence of Nun that belongeth to the Tree of Affirmation, through Thy power over whatsoever Thou willest. Verily, Thou art powerful over all things.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy All-Glorious Nature, which sanctifieth all things, to preserve every essence of Sin that belongeth to the Tree of Affirmation, through Thy power over whatsoever Thou willest. Verily, Thou art powerful over all things.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy Exaltation, which transcendeth all things, to preserve every essence of ʿAyn that belongeth to the Tree of Affirmation, through Thy power over whatsoever Thou willest. Verily, Thou art powerful over all things.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy Singleness, which standeth unique above all things, to preserve every essence of Fa that belongeth to the Tree of Affirmation, through Thy power over whatsoever Thou willest. Verily, Thou art powerful over all things.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy Self-Sufficiency, which exalteth itself above all things, to preserve every essence of Sad that belongeth to the Tree of Affirmation, through Thy power over whatsoever Thou willest. Verily, Thou art powerful over all things.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy Self-Subsistence, which precedeth all things, to preserve every essence of Qaf that belongeth to the Tree of Affirmation, through Thy power over whatsoever Thou willest. Verily, Thou art powerful over all things.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy Mercy, which riseth above all things, to preserve every essence of Ra that belongeth to the Tree of Affirmation, through Thy power over whatsoever Thou willest. Verily, Thou art powerful over all things.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy Witness-bearing Nature, which transcendeth all things, to preserve every essence of Shin that belongeth to the Tree of Affirmation, through Thy power over whatsoever Thou willest. Verily, Thou art powerful over all things.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy All-Forgiving Nature, which magnifieth itself above all things, to preserve every essence of Ta that belongeth to the Tree of Affirmation, through Thy power over whatsoever Thou willest. Verily, Thou art powerful over all things.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy Steadfastness, which standeth firm above all things, to preserve every essence of Tha that belongeth to the Tree of Affirmation, through Thy power over whatsoever Thou willest. Verily, Thou art powerful over all things.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy Creative Nature, which glorifieth itself above all things, to preserve every essence of Kha that belongeth to the Tree of Affirmation, through Thy power over whatsoever Thou willest. Verily, Thou art powerful over all things.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy Nature as Creator, which purifieth all things, to preserve every essence of Dhal that belongeth to the Tree of Affirmation, through Thy power over whatsoever Thou willest. Verily, Thou art powerful over all things.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy All-Preserving Nature, which transcendeth all things, to preserve every essence of Dad that belongeth to the Tree of Affirmation, through Thy power over whatsoever Thou willest. Verily, Thou art powerful over all things.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy Manifest Nature, which is evident above all things, to preserve every every essence of Za to be related to the Tree of Affirmation according to Thy will. Verily Thou art powerful over all things.

O God! I beseech Thee by Thy independence, which is self-sufficient above all things, to cause every essence of Ghayn to be related to the Tree of Affirmation according to Thy will. Verily Thou art powerful over all things.

O God! Thou knowest what is in the heavens and on earth. Never have I called upon Thee with such a prayer for establishing the word of Thy unity. Therefore, O God, answer at this moment what I have asked concerning the establishment of Thy sanctification, the exaltation of Thy praise, the transcendence of Thy glorification, the joy of Thy uniqueness, and the independence of Thy self-subsistence, for every good that is mentioned by the name of anything is mentioned in that prayer and is related to the Tree of the Bayan.

O God! Strengthen it, clothe it with majesty, beautify it, magnify it, illumine it, exalt it, aid it, establish it and preserve it until the Day when Thou shalt cause it to return, that Thou mayest send down upon it what is better in Thy sight than what Thou didst send down upon it before. Verily Thou art knowing of all things.

O God! Send Thy blessings upon the Letters of the First One and upon all the letters that have believed in Thee and then in Thy verses in every condition, before every condition and after every condition, and in every time, before every time and after every time.
