Praise be unto God, Who bringeth into being whatsoever He willeth by His command, and verily He knoweth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is on the earth. Glorified and exalted be He above all that they affirm!

…and didst raise me from the path of the sea unto the precincts of Thy holiness [Karbila], in the neighborhood of the trustees of Thy revelation, the pillars of Thine unity, Thy witnesses over Thy creation, and Thine elect among Thy servants–until there was fulfilled for me, in that place, what Thou hadst decreed in the hidden knowledge. And Thou didst nurture me, by Thy bounty, without my learning from any of the learned of that land—save that, on many days, Thou didst gladden me by the presence of one among Thy servants [Siyyid Kazim], whom Thou hadst taught the governance of his own soul, hadst strengthened by the spirit of faith within his heart, and hadst inspired with that which causeth all else to be forgotten in his inmost being.

After this Thou didst decree for me descent; and I sought leave from the realms of holiness, and returned from the sacred lands unto the land wherein I had been born [Shiraz]….
