BB00248: Ziyarat for the first [to believe]

Visitation for the last [to ascend], upon him be the Glory of God the Manifest

In the name of God, the Most Unapproachable, the Most Holy

Upon thee rest the splendor of God, then the peace of all who have believed in Him, both before and after. O Thou Divine Rising Sun, Eternal Manifestation of the Lord, Sacred Countenance of Glory, Impregnable Eternal Word, and Exalted Fruit of Oneness! How lofty is the exaltation of Thy mention, whereunto all manifestations culminate and all signs return. Through Thee shall God be glorified, through Thee shall God be sanctified, through Thee shall God be unified, and through Thee shall God be magnified.

Thou worshippest none but God, my Lord and Thy Lord; Thou unitest with none save Him, my Creator and Thy Creator; Thou sanctifiest none except Him, my Fashioner and Thy Fashioner; and Thou glorifiest none but Him, my Maker and Thy Maker. How exalted is Thy station with God, whereby all created things are severed from Him, and how glorious is Thy elevation in the Book, whereby all existence turneth toward God!

Verily, Thou art the Glorifier in the depths of divinity through Thine inmost heart, and Thou art the Sanctifier in the seas of omnipotence through Thine essential spirit, and Thou art the Unifier in the manifestations of the kingdom and dominion through Thine own self, and Thou art the Magnifier in the heights of holiness and glory through the essence of Thy physical being.

I testify that Thou art pure, purifying, and purified. Nay, God hath sanctified Thee beyond such mention and purified Thee beyond such praise, for all that turneth toward Thee becometh pure, and every fire that draweth nigh unto Thee becometh light. Thou art not abased, for by God, God is Thy Exalter! Thou art not alone, for by God, God is Thy Uplifter!

By Thy right over all created things, than which there exists nothing greater in all creation, and by the manifestation of Thy revelation unto all existence, than which there exists nothing mightier in all invention, from the beginning of Thy primacy that hath no beginning unto the end of Thine ultimacy that hath no end—all circle round Thy Will, prostrate themselves before God through Thy Countenance, worship God through Thy Face, and dwell in the kingdom of the heavens and earth and what lieth between them through Thy decree.

Were the veil to be lifted from the eyes of all who possess spirit, they would surely gather there and weep for Thee until their spirits departed from their bodies. In this, my station, I draw near unto Thee through my turning toward Thee, though none be with me, finding therein my rest and taking pride therein above all things, for all glory belongeth to whoso knoweth Thee, and all fire to whoso is veiled from meeting Thee.

Through Thee have all glorifiers glorified in the heights of their hearts, all essences praised in their realm of might, all realities unified in their sanctified elevation, and all identities magnified in their sublime glory. Thou hast risen, and above Thee there is no elevation. Thou hast brought low the pillars of the heavens and earth and all that lieth between them through the loftiness of Thy ascension and the sublimity of Thy inaccessibility. Then Thou didst draw nigh in such wise that nothing equals Thee or compares with Thee, whereby all are veiled by Thy loftiness in Thy loftiness and Thy transcendence in Thy arrival before God, Thy Lord.

Nay, by Thy glory, when Thou didst ascend to the dust, I shall surely prostrate myself through Thee unto God and take pride in Thy presence and in praising Thee. And when the decree was fulfilled upon Thee, I shall surely magnify Thee and exalt Thy station, for I have witnessed no fruit more inaccessible than Thee in the Book, nor any abstract essence more like Thee in the verses.

Thou hast indeed unified God throughout all manifestations until Thou didst unify in the ultimate manifestation of limitations. God hath ever sent down upon Thee and upon whoso seeketh Thy good-pleasure that which beseemeth the loftiness of His holiness and the sublimity of His bounty.

How exalted is Thy calamity in the Book, how great is Thy tribulation in creation, and how mighty is that which was decreed upon Thee in the kingdoms of earth and heaven! Can any heart remain unmoved at Thy mention, or any soul fail to be rent asunder upon hearing of Thy tribulation? What essence hath borne the manifestations of Thy love, and what eyes have not shed tears before the seat of Thy glory in the face of the decrees of Thy Cause?

By Thy right! My heart is unable to make mention of those who have grown proud against Thee and veiled themselves from meeting Thee, for in all things they worship God through Thee, prostrate themselves before God through Thee, bow down before God through Thee, and humble themselves before God through Thee. A single hair of Thy body is more beloved unto God than the essence of their being, let alone their deeds. They have no mention with God, nor with those who have believed in Him and His verses.

Thus doth God bestow His grace upon Thee with that which draweth nigh all who are brought nigh, and which all the God-fearing desire. God hath created for Thee in Paradise a most glorious pavilion that none can attain unto through what they have comprehended. Blessed art Thou and what Thou hast drunk!

By Thy glory! In Thy Lord’s knowledge there exists no paradise greater than what Thou hast attained in God, glorified be His majesty, nor any fire more intense for those who have veiled themselves from Thee than their veiling themselves from Thy countenance, for what God hath promised in the Hereafter shall be manifested in that life.

I testify before God and all things that Thy beginning and Thine end are for God and in God. God shall exalt Thy station to the highest heights and most sublime sovereignty through that which shall delight Thine eyes on the Day of Resurrection before God. Grieve not, for God shall cause Thee to dwell and descend in the chambers of Thy victory and the heights of Thy life where Thou shalt behold Thy loved ones from among Thy kindred and Thy friends from among those who love Thee in the Most Exalted Paradise and before Thee in the Most Glorious Paradise.

All begin from water and return to clay. How blessed is he who preserves between these the mention of his soul until the Day of Resurrection, even as Thou hast preserved it. This is God’s bounty unto whomsoever He willeth of His creation, and this is God’s generosity unto whomsoever He desireth of His servants.

Upon Thee be the blessings of God and His mercy in Thy return and resting-place, in Thy rising and sitting, Thy repose and ascent, Thy nearness and contentment with Thyself. Thou art the Mirror wherein naught is seen except God, as I have seen naught in Thee save Him.

Thou art the First through Thy Lord’s manifestation, and the Last through Thy Lord’s concealment, the Outward through Thy Lord’s exaltation, and the Inward through Thy Lord’s inaccessibility. Upon Thee and upon them that love Thee and upon those who have attained unto the meeting with Thy Lord in God’s path be that which befitteth the sublimity of His generosity and the excellence of His grace.

Verily He is the All-Compelling, the All-Bountiful. And verily there is no God but Him, the Gracious, the All-Munificent.
