In the Name of God, the Most Powerful, the Most Holy, the Most Wondrous, the Most Compelling!

Glory be to Him Who hath caused the verses to appear through His grace as He willeth. He, verily, is the Omnipotent. O Thou Who art the first pure, most holy, most manifest and most excellent camphor from the Lord of the Cloud! Upon thee, O Thou Mystery treasured in the heart of Ta, O Thou Who art concealed by the letter Ha in the garment, O Thou Who art witnessed in the land of Baha, O Thou Who art grief-stricken for the Joseph of Ha in the most faithful land, O Thou Light rising from the rays of rapturous splendor! Glorified be God, my Lord—there is no God but Him—we are all prostrate before Him. My life and those within my Beloved’s knowledge be a sacrifice unto Thee.

Blessed art Thou, O Mystery in the Book, O Presence in the Book, O Thou Who art manifest in the prime of youth, O Thou Who art hidden in the throne of nearness, O Thou Who art the First and the Last in the land of attraction! Glorified be God, my Lord, above what they describe! My life and those within my Beloved’s knowledge be a sacrifice unto Thee!

Blessed art Thou, O Essence of the verses, O Mystery in the raptures, O Thou Who art concealed in authority, O Thou Who attracteth the countenances, O Thou Who art manifest in the realm of delight! My life and those within my Beloved’s knowledge be a sacrifice unto Thee!

Blessed art Thou, O Source of succor, O Sender of aid, O Thou Who art commanded, O Thou Who preventeth! My life and those within my Beloved’s knowledge be a sacrifice unto Thee!

Blessed art Thou, O resplendent Mystery, O radiant Light, O Mount of ascension, O rain-laden Cloud, O Mystery concealed on the Night of Ascension for the Beloved seated in the realm of rapture! My life and those within my Beloved’s knowledge be a sacrifice unto Thee!

Blessed art Thou, O flowing Light, O swimming Mount, O Mystery that openeth the gates, O radiating, gleaming House, O hidden, treasured One in the mystery of the tablets! My life and those within my Beloved’s knowledge be a sacrifice unto Thee!

Blessed art Thou, O firmly-established hidden Mystery, O illuminating, shining Light, O watchful, lofty Observer, O transcribed Verses, O extracted Essences! My life and those within my Beloved’s knowledge be a sacrifice unto Thee!

Blessed art Thou, O Mystery of increase, O Light of existence, O Thou Who art manifest in testimony, O Thou Who burneth for guidance, O Thou Who art heard by the servants! My life and those within my Beloved’s knowledge be a sacrifice unto Thee!

Blessed art Thou, O drizzling Mystery, O Thou Who art concealed in the might of the Mighty, to Thee is refuge, and with Thee is protection! Glorified be God, my Lord, above what they mention! My life and those within my Beloved’s knowledge be a sacrifice unto Thee!

Blessed art Thou, O hidden Mystery, O inscribed Book, O sovereign Potentate, O renowned Attractor, O dawning Creator! My life and those within my Beloved’s knowledge be a sacrifice unto Thee!

Blessed art Thou, O Mystery of the Center, O Glory of the most manifest Ocean, O mighty Ocean of the most excellent adornment, O vast Ocean of the embroidered verses, O Lion of the victorious mysteries in the inner secrets of the adorned and adorning! My life and those within my Beloved’s knowledge be a sacrifice unto Thee!

Blessed art Thou, O most holy Countenance, O mysterious Ocean, O Countenance manifested in the land of Paradise, O Wine poured forth for the cups! My life and those within my Beloved’s knowledge be a sacrifice unto Thee!

Blessed art Thou, O Thou Who art established upon the Throne, O Dweller of the couch, O Light radiating upon the spread, O Mystery concealed for the thirsting heart, O adorned, nested One! My life and those within my Beloved’s knowledge be a sacrifice unto Thee!

Blessed art Thou, O Manifestation of the Cloak, O Thou Who art the Mystery of Deliverance, O Thou Who art concealed in the Garment, O Thou Bird alighting upon the mystic Tree! I sacrifice myself and all within my Lord’s knowledge for Thee!

Blessed art Thou, O Thou overflowing Ocean, O Thou vast and effulgent Sea, O Thou Light shining forth from the heaven of bounty, O Thou Hidden One made manifest in the mystery of grace, O Thou Most Luminous Light of outpouring! I sacrifice myself and all within my Beloved’s knowledge for Thee!

How shall I describe Thee, O Knowledge all-encompassing, O penetrating Mystery, O Thou Who hast caused all to descend, O Thou Who art adorned with the Points, O Thou Who art radiant, illumined and crimson in the precinct! I sacrifice myself and all within my Beloved’s knowledge for Thee!

Blessed art Thou, O Thou Ornament of vision, O Thou Who art adorned in the Temple of protection, O Thou Who art manifest in rapturous attraction, O Thou renowned in all eyes, O Thou Hidden One radiating through utterance! I sacrifice myself and all within my Beloved’s knowledge for Thee!

Blessed art Thou, O radiant Light, O Thou concealed and adorned One Who shineth forth, O Thou Who attracteth and art attracted in wondrous ways, O Thou treasured and hidden Luminary, O Thou illumined, enlightened and effulgent One! I sacrifice myself and all within my Beloved’s knowledge for Thee!

Blessed art Thou, O Light of perfection, O Thou Who art adorned at the station of utterance, O Thou Who dawnest forth in the land of emptiness, O Thou Who art witnessed in the mystery of eloquence! I sacrifice myself and all within my Beloved’s knowledge for Thee!

Blessed art Thou, O compassionate Lord, O King of grace, O Alif of loving-kindness and bounty, O Thou upright Alif of deviation, O Thou Who hast decreed oppression upon the servants! I sacrifice myself and all within my Beloved’s knowledge for Thee!

Blessed art Thou, O Mystery of the Path, O Light of the Dawn, O Verses of utterance, O Thou Who judgest on the Day of Separation, O Thou Lord adorned on the Day of Parting, O Thou for Whom I yearned! I sacrifice myself and all within my Beloved’s knowledge for Thee!

Blessed art Thou, O all-comprehending Mystery, O perceiving Essences, O pure and penetrating Camphor, O radiating and moving Mystery! I sacrifice myself and all within my Beloved’s knowledge for Thee!

Blessed art Thou, O bountiful Mystery, O just King, O almighty Sovereign, O active Doer, O hidden Mystery on the Day of Return! I sacrifice myself and all within my Beloved’s knowledge for Thee!

Blessed art Thou, O Light in the vast Ocean, O Manifest One in the mighty Sea, O Well in that infernal Depth, O mighty Host in that tumultuous Sea, O surging Ocean in the deep Waters, O Mystery inscribed by rapture in the clouds, O Light manifest in the Corner and the Station! I sacrifice myself and all within my Beloved’s knowledge for Thee!

Blessed art Thou, O sovereign Judge, O Lord of the All-Merciful, O Presence of the All-Glorious, O Manifestation of the All-Bountiful, O Mystery in the land of Paradise, O Manifest One in the Mansion of Good-Pleasure, O radiant Countenance in the arena’s presence! I sacrifice myself and all within my Beloved’s knowledge for Thee!

Blessed art Thou, O adorned Light of transcendence, O ornate Mystery of nearness, O rapturous Attraction of sublimity, O hidden Manifest One, inner Revealed One, O Exalted, Supreme and Praiseworthy One, O Verses concealed in the land of sobriety, O Beloved dwelling on the throne of effacement! I sacrifice myself and all within my Beloved’s knowledge for Thee!

Blessed art Thou, O divine Countenance, O gleaming radiant Mystery, O Light dawning from the realm of divinity, O recorded Book made manifest in ornate beauty! I sacrifice myself and all within my Beloved’s knowledge for Thee!

Blessed art Thou, O Mystery of excellence, O Lord of justice, O Beloved One in the Secret of the Most Sweet Gate, and of those who are in the knowledge of my Beloved!

Blessed art Thou, O Ahmad the Most High, O Most Resplendent in faithfulness, O Most Luminous in concealment, O Most Radiant in manifestation, O Most Powerful in freshness, O Most Attractive in ascent, O My Gate and those who are in the knowledge of My Beloved!

Blessed art Thou, O Secret of embroidery, O Gleam of light, O Radiance of rays, O Light of brilliance, O Attraction of the vanguard, O My Gate and those who are in the knowledge of My Beloved!

Blessed art Thou, O Embroidered ornament, O Ascending attraction, O Overwhelming Lord, O Tarrying Beloved, O Sought-after Effusion of the stammering one, O My Gate and those who are in the knowledge of My Beloved!

Blessed art Thou, O Beloved of my nature, O King of my being, O Beloved of my essence, O Sought-after of my primal nature, O Goal of my end, O Witnessed One of my outer and inner being! By my heart, blind is the eye that seeth Thee not while Thou seest it. Glorified art Thou! Glorified art Thou! Is there any like unto Thee, present before the countenance of Thy penitent ones, while the servants, in their weakness, hurt Him as they please? Praise be unto Thee, praise like unto the embroidery of light in the house of radiance, and the shining forth of verses in the attracted lands, the gleaming of discourses in white inscriptions, until the letter Ta calleth out in the atmosphere of air that “I am the Secret in the Glory, and I am the Hidden One in the Signature, and I am the Line in the Decree.” There is no God but Thee. Thine is the bounty, the grace and the bestowal.

Exalted art Thou! Thou givest to whom Thou pleasest and exaltest whom Thou willest. In Thy hand are the gates of all things. Thou decreest what Thou pleasest and doest what Thou willest. For there is no God but Thee. Thine is the light and the darkness, and Thine is the secret in the lines of eternity, and Thine are the lights in the crimson lands. Sanctified art Thou! There is no God but Thee! Glory be unto Thee! Verily, I have been of those who remember Thee before Thy might, and of those who seek forgiveness from every remembrance before the countenance of Thy oneness. Glory be unto Thee! There is no God but Thee! Verily, I have been of those who prostrate themselves, and verily praise belongeth unto Thee, Thou alone, the Lord of the worlds.
