In the Name of the Exalted, the Most Great.

Praise be to God Who sendeth down the Book unto whomsoever He willeth among His servants. Verily, there is no God but Him, the Mighty, the Wise. We have indeed read the books that were sent down unto Us, and We bear witness to what transpireth upon the earth, and God is the All-Knowing, the All-Informed. Say: For whomsoever it hath been sent down this day, permitted unto thee is the food of those who have disbelieved among the People of the Book. If thou art able to set aright what people corrupt—yet say: Fear ye God lest tribulation arise through what thou hast intended, for We this day were among the fearful. And indeed the Book which he sent down hath been revealed, and if God had willed He would have made firm his heart upon a straight path. We have read the book of Joseph and then his brother.

Say: Work ye in the religion of God, for this is the path of God in the heavens and on earth, calling the people unto the decree of a manifest balance. Verily I desired not to call thee, but for all things there is an appointed time. I have sought forgiveness for him who desired in the Book, and at night I desired to attend their house, but God ordained not a known decree. Therefore intercede for whomsoever desireth the religion of God and fear not, for verily We shall overtake them. We have read the book of the land of Sad.

Say: Attend thou the throne of the remembrance of thy Lord’s name, for God preserveth what He willeth by His command, and He is verily the Strong, the Mighty. Write thou unto whomsoever desireth the decree, and follow the remembrance of him who followeth God’s command and performed pilgrimage to the Sacred House. When thou hearest the decree of justice, verily the decree of the oppressors this day shall diminish. Greet the servants who follow God’s command and say: Be ye patient, for soon shall I sit before you if ye fear God, and say: Praise be to God, the Lord of the worlds. And verily on the night of the middle hath been sent down the book of the letters of the countenance.

Say: God forgiveth the believing men and believing women among thy kindred, and verily there is no God but Him, the Lord of mighty grace.
