BB00329: Ziyarat for the third to be martyred among the Letters of the Living

In the name of God, the Inaccessible, the Most Holy

Glorified art Thou, O my God! I testify with the essence of my being, the purity of my reality, the abstraction of my soul, and the camphor of my identity that Thou art God, there is no God but Thee, alone with no partner. Thine is the power, might, grandeur and awe; Thine is sovereignty and love; Thine is dominion and exaltation; Thine are the names and similitudes; Thine are majesty and glory; Thine are creation and command over all that is seen and unseen in the highest heavens and lowest earth, and in the Hereafter and this world. Thou hast ever been sanctified in the uniqueness of Thy Being and wilt ever remain hallowed in the purity of Thy Essence.

Thou seest what is in the kingdom of Thy earth and heaven, and witnesseth what lies in the depths of Thy creation and invention. Thou hast ever bestowed upon the people of Thy Paradise the wondrous lights of Thy Lordship, and denied unto those in the fire what Thou hast ordained for the people of Thy cause, for Thou hast ever encompassed all things in Thy knowledge and ordained all things by Thy power. Thou drawest the people of Thy love unto the horizon of Thy good-pleasure through what Thou hast cast upon them of Thy likeness, and causeth the manifestations of Thy glory to ascend through what Thou hast created in them of Thy examples.

Glorified art Thou, O my God! Thou hast ever been one God, single, unique, eternal, self-subsisting, living, all-compelling, wise, just and holy. Thou hast taken neither consort nor son, and Thou hast no partner in sovereignty nor any protector in the earth save by Thy leave. Thou hast made Thyself known unto all things as God, there is no God but Thee, alone with no partner. Thine is the kingdom and the praise, Thou givest life and death, then causeth death and giveth life, and Thou art the Ever-Living Who dieth not. Within Thy grasp is the kingdom of all things. Thou createst by Thy command whatsoever Thou willest in every condition. Verily Thou art powerful over all things.

Glorified art Thou, O my God! I have witnessed concerning that Branch from the Tree of Thy Oneness how He cast Himself in the paths of Thy love and drank the water of Thy good-pleasure in the way of Thy Cause. Therefore, O my God, send down upon Him every good thing encompassed by Thy knowledge, and upon those who know not His rights, who prostrate not themselves before Thee through Him, who believe not in Him in the path of Thy love, and who acknowledge not what Thou hast ordained for Him of Thy right, whatsoever they deserve by Thy reckoning. Verily Thou dost encompass all things.

Then turn unto Him Who is established upon the throne of His glory and seated upon the seat of His sovereignty, Who seeth all things in their appointed places and witnesseth the creation of all things in their hidden and manifest aspects. Say: Peace be upon Thee from God, exalted and mighty, and from the Letters that have preceded Thee in attaining unto God Thy Lord, and from those who have followed Thee from among the Letters of the First, then from all who have believed in God and His signs, whether male or female, and who have entered beneath the shade of the Tree of Affirmation, O Thou Beloved of my heart in the kingdom of earth and heaven!

Then upon Thee, O Essence of my being in the kingdom of glory and creation! Great indeed is Thy calamity and profound Thy tragedy. Were life in this first existence eternal, what Thou hast faced in Thy Lord’s path would be better with God. And were every soul to comprehend what is ordained for it—but by Thy right, I was not content to witness concerning Thee what I witness now. But now what God Thy Lord decreed hath been fulfilled through the attraction of Thy being and the abstraction of Thy reality. May God join Thee in the most exalted Companion and the most glorious Seat where no sorrow existeth. He is the Lord of the Hereafter and this world.

God shall take vengeance upon those who observed not God’s command concerning Thee and showed no shame before Thy countenance. He is most severe in might and punishment. And God shall reward those who are certain of Thy right and are guided by Thy guidance on the day of Thy return with the best of what God hath in the Book. Verily He is the…inaccessible…
