BB00246: Ziyarat for the letters of unity, on Friday
In the Name of God, the Most Unapproachable, the Most Holy!
Glory be unto Thee, O my God! I and all things bear witness on this night which Thou hast magnified, honored, sanctified and exalted, and upon which Thou hast bestowed Thy remembrance, and wherein Thou didst send down Thy mercy and didst open the gates of Thy forgiveness, that Thou art God, there is no God but Thee, alone with no partner. Thine is the kingdom and the heavenly dominion, Thine the might and the divine power, Thine the strength and the celestial gems, Thine the sovereignty and the earthly realm, Thine the glory and the majesty, Thine the countenance and the beauty, Thine the presence and the perfection, Thine the mercy and bounty, Thine the authority and sublimity, Thine the grandeur and the invincibility, Thine the power and the exaltation, Thine the greatness and the favors, Thine the proofs and the examples, Thine the joy and the gladness, Thine the grandeur and the detachment from all that Thou hast created or wilt create.
Glory be unto Thee! There is no God but Thee. Thine is all that is in the heights unto the uttermost reaches of the depths. All things glorify Thee in the truth of Thy unity, all things prostrate before Thee in the truth of Thy light-giving power, all things sanctify Thee in the truth of Thy manifestation, all things testify to Thy oneness in the truth of Thy singleness, all things magnify Thee in the truth of Thine eternity, all things love to meet Thee in the truth of Thy lovingness, all things are severed unto the places of knowing Thee through the signs of Thy sovereignty. I and all things bear witness that Thou givest life and causeth death, then causeth death and givest life, and that Thou art the Ever-Living Who dieth not, the Sovereign Who passeth not away, the Just Who wrongeth not, the King Who changeth not, the One from Whose grasp nothing escapeth, whether in the heavens or on the earth or between them. Thou createst what Thou willest by Thy command. Verily, Thou art powerful over all things.
O my God! Do Thou send down in this mighty night during Thy days, which Thou hast attributed to Thyself and honored in Thy presence, upon the hearts of them that glorify Thee, and their spirits, their souls and their bodies, and all that hath ascended unto Thee and all that liveth before Thee, from all Thy glory its most glorious, from all Thy majesty its most majestic, from all Thy beauty its most beautiful, from all Thy grandeur its most grand, from all Thy light its most luminous, from all Thy mercy its most extensive, from all Thy words their most perfect, from all Thy names their most great, from all Thy might its most mighty, from all Thy will its most conclusive, from all Thy knowledge its most penetrating, from all Thy power its most enduring, from all Thy utterance its most pleasing, from all Thy causes those most beloved by Thee and most unapproachable before Thee, from all Thy honor its most honorable, from all Thy dominion its most lasting, from all Thy kingdom its most excellent, from all Thy loftiness its most elevated, from all Thy bestowals its most ancient, and from all that Thou hast loved or wilt love that which hath no equal, no peer, no likeness, no companion and no similitude, for Thou art our God and the God of all things, our Originator and the Originator of all things, our Creator and the Creator of all things, our Ordainer and the Ordainer of all things, our Fashioner and the Fashioner of all things.
Do Thou therefore preserve us, O my God, through Thy might and power and glory and greatness and sovereignty and dominion and self-subsistence, from that which grieveth us, and show us that whereby our hearts and our spirits and our souls and our bodies may find tranquility, through Thy grace, then Thy generosity, then Thy tender mercy, then Thy kindness, then Thy mercy, then Thy gift, then Thy beneficence. For verily Thou art the Knower of all things, and the Powerful over all things, and the Almighty above all things, and the Invincible over all things. Thou hast not created any grief for anyone except that Thou hast created with it some gladness.
I testify to my joy after having recognized my own self through recognition of Thee and having recited Thy verses through Thy clear proofs. And if I experienced sorrow in Thy path, yet have I witnessed joy in Thy path. Therefore praise be unto Thee, O my God, for all that Thou hast ordained and decreed, and thanks be unto Thee, O my Lord, for what Thou hast sent down and executed.
Thou art the One Worshipped alone, there is no God but Thee. Thou art the One Intended alone, there is no God but Thee. Thou art the One Prostrated to alone, there is no God but Thee. Thou art the One Praised alone, there is no God but Thee. Thou art the One Existing alone, there is no God but Thee. Thou seest but art not seen, and verily Thou art in the Most Exalted Horizon, the Cleaver of the grain and the date-stone. Unto Thee belongeth whatsoever is in the heights and whatsoever is in the lowest depths. Therefore, O my God, send down at this moment upon everyone whose essence hath ascended unto Thee through their relationship to me, or whose being hath remained in Thy good-pleasure through their connection to all, Thy forgiveness, Thy good-pleasure, Thy grace, Thy favor, Thy generosity and Thy glory. Verily, Thou art possessed of great bounty.
Then turn and say, when thou art like on such a night in the presence of the Letters of the One or the Guides of God’s Cause, and say: From the splendor of God, His most splendid; from the majesty of God, His most majestic; from the beauty of God, His most beautiful; from the grandeur of God, His most grand; from the light of God, His most luminous; from the mercy of God, His most extensive; from the words of God, His most perfect; from the signs of God, His most mighty; from the names of God, His most great; from the Will of God, His most decisive; from the knowledge of God, His most penetrating; from the power of God, His most powerful; from the utterance of God, His most pleasing; from the questions of God, His most beloved and most impregnable; from the nobility of God, His most noble; from the sovereignty of God, His most enduring; from the dominion of God, His most glorious; from the exaltation of God, His most exalted; and from all the names of God and His attributes, upon you be that which befitteth God, exalted be His glory, and that which He deserveth through the Manifestations of His Cause and His power.
I testify that through you have appeared the essences of glorification, and have been exalted the realities of sanctification, and have been established the spirits of unity, and have been settled the identities of magnification, and have been elevated the manifestations of grandeur unto God Who created you, sustained you, caused you to die, gave you life, and raised you from the resting-places of your hearts. God hath never ceased to send down upon you from all His bounty and grace, and from all His generosity and favor. The rememberers shall remember you and all the God-fearing shall weep for you. You are the first and the last, you are the outer and the inner, you are the most elevated and most exalted, you are the most impregnable and most mighty.
Blessed be the day when He Whom God shall make manifest, exalted be His mention, shall honor your land with His footsteps when He willeth, and your resting-places with the radiance of His lights, and your essences with the signs of His glory. That is a day which none can avert from God; all shall be presented before God their Lord. God hath not created any bounty greater for you than His mention of you through His good-pleasure, and God hath not created any fire more remote than the absence of the mention of His good-pleasure by anyone, for in the shadow of this is inscribed every good, and in the shadow of this is that which God loveth not to mention. Therefore seek assistance through the name of your Lord, the Most Merciful, from that which ye love not to know, or to comprehend in knowledge, or to hear, or to see, or to witness, or to speak, or to write, for God will surely protect you through His command, as He hath power over all things.
