BB00107: Kitabu’l-Javad

In the Name of God, the Most Bountiful, the Most Bountiful! By God, the Most Bountiful, the Most Bountiful! Through the bounty of God, the Most Bountiful, the Most Bountiful!

Say: O God! Thou art the Bountiful One of the heavens and of the earth and whatsoever lieth between them. Thou givest bounty unto whomsoever Thou willest and withdrawest bounty from whomsoever Thou willest. Thou exaltest whomsoever Thou willest and abasest whomsoever Thou willest. Thou raisest whomsoever Thou willest and bringest low whomsoever Thou willest. Thou aidest whomsoever Thou willest and forsakest whomsoever Thou willest. Thou enrichest whomsoever Thou willest and makest poor whomsoever Thou willest. Within Thy grasp is the kingdom of all things. Thou createst what Thou willest by Thy command. Verily, Thou art powerful over whatsoever Thou willest.

Say: God is more bountiful than any possessor of bounty. None can withhold the flowing bounty of His bountiful grace, whether in the heavens or on the earth or in what lieth between them. Verily, He is the Ever-Bountiful, the All-Bounteous, the Most Generous.

Say: O God! Thou art the Most Bountiful of the bountiful ones. Thou givest bounty unto whomsoever Thou willest and withdrawest bounty from whomsoever Thou willest. Thou raisest whomsoever Thou willest and bringest low whomsoever Thou willest. Thou exaltest whomsoever Thou willest and abasest whomsoever Thou willest. Thou aidest whomsoever Thou willest and forsakest whomsoever Thou willest. Thou enrichest whomsoever Thou willest and makest poor whomsoever Thou willest. Within Thy grasp is the kingdom of all things. Thou createst what Thou willest by Thy command. Verily, Thou art powerful over whatsoever Thou willest.

Say: O God! Thou art the Most Bountiful of the bountiful ones in the kingdom of the heavens and of the earth and whatsoever lieth between them. Thou raisest whomsoever Thou willest and bringest low whomsoever Thou willest. Thou exaltest whomsoever Thou willest and abasest whomsoever Thou willest. Thou aidest whomsoever Thou willest and forsakest whomsoever Thou willest. Thou enrichest whomsoever Thou willest and makest poor whomsoever Thou willest. Within Thy grasp is the kingdom of all things. Thou createst what Thou willest, how Thou willest, through what Thou willest, for what Thou willest. Verily, Thou art powerful over whatsoever Thou willest.

To God belongeth the bounty of the heavens and of the earth and whatsoever lieth between them. God is the Bountiful, the All-Bounteous, the Most Generous. To God belong the bountiful ones of the heavens and of the earth and whatsoever lieth between them. God is the Most Bountiful, the All-Giving, the Ever-Giving.

Say: O God, Most Bountiful above every possessor of bounty! None can withhold the sovereign dominion of His bountiful grace, whether in the heavens or on the earth or in what lieth between them. He createth what He willeth by His command. Verily, He is the Bountiful, the All-Bounteous, the Most Generous.

To God belongeth the sovereign dominion of the bountiful ones of the heavens and of the earth and whatsoever lieth between them. God is the Most Bountiful, the All-Giving, the Ever-Giving. To God belongeth the bounty of all that He hath created and will create of all things. God is powerful over all things. To God belong the bountiful ones of the heavens and of the earth and whatsoever lieth between them. God is the Bountiful, the All-Giving, the Ever-Giving.

Say: God is more bountiful than any possessor of bountifulness. None can withhold the sovereign dominion of His bountiful grace, whether in the heavens or on the earth or in what lieth between them. Verily, He is the Bountiful, the All-Bounteous, the Most Generous.

Say: God is more bountiful than any possessor of bounty. None can withhold the most generous bounty of His bountiful grace, whether in the heavens or on the earth or in what lieth between them. Verily, He is the Bountiful, the All-Bounteous, the Most Generous.

To God belong the eternal ones of the heavens and of the earth and whatsoever lieth between them. God is over them the All-Powerful, the Almighty, the Omnipotent. To God belong all possessors of bounty from before and after; all abide by His command.

These are verses We have sent down according to the number of Thy Name, as a bounty from Our presence. Verily, We are the Ever-Bountiful. We have created the heavens and the earth and whatsoever lieth between them through a bountiful bounty from Our presence. Verily, We are the Ever-Bountiful. Verily, the name of bounty in the Divine Essence is an essence that none but Him can comprehend. Say: All are created through God’s bounty, and in the kingdom of names are mirrors in the Book of God, wherein thou dost give tidings of the bounty of God, the Supreme, the Exalted. All that thou beholdest hath been created through God’s bounty, a bounty from His presence—verily He is the All-Bountiful, the Most Generous. Observe how We have made thee the cause of the creation of all things, as a bounty from Our presence—verily We are the Eternal. Nothing hath been created except through God’s bounty, and We have made thee the mirror of that Name as a bounty from Our presence—verily We are the Eternal.

Through Our bounty were all the Messengers created, one and all. Through Our bounty were all the Books created, one and all. Through Our bounty is created in every Revelation, by Our command, the witnesses to Our Cause in the kingdom of Command and Creation and whatsoever lieth between them. Say: All stand firm by God’s command.

Through Our bounty are Our paths in every Revelation. Say: All shall know what God hath ordained. Through Our bounty was bounty itself created. Say: All are created through God’s bounty. Through Our bounty were created the heavens and what lieth above them of the Throne and what lieth above it of the Seat, and the angels in the heavens who glorify God with Our remembrance and who praise Us.

Through Our bounty were created the sun and moon and all the stars, then the thunder and lightning, then what descendeth from heaven of moist water, then frozen water, then white snow—all are signs of God and all ye witness by God’s command. Through Our bounty were created fire and air, then water and earth—by these are all things created. Through Our bounty were created the earth and the seas, then the mountains and what was created therein of minerals, and what was ordained in the sea of hidden white pearls, then fish and the wonders We created therein—all from Our presence, verily We are the Eternal.

Through Our bounty was created the First, though It hath no first—verily We are the Eternal. Through Our bounty was created the Last, though It hath no last—verily We are the Eternal. Through Our bounty was created the Primal Point, God’s creation among the worlds. Through Our bounty were created Seth before Noah and Abraham. Through Our bounty were created Moses and Jesus after Abraham. Through Our bounty was created Muhammad before ʿAli before Muhammad before Him Whom God shall make manifest in the kingdom of the heavens and earth and what lieth between them, then in all the worlds.

Through Our bounty shall be made manifest He Who shall appear after Him Whom God shall make manifest, then He Who shall appear after Him Whom God shall make manifest, then He Who shall appear after Him Whom God shall make manifest, then He Who shall appear after Him Whom God shall make manifest, then He Who shall appear after Him Whom God shall make manifest, then He Who shall appear after Him Whom God shall make manifest, then He Who shall appear after Him Whom God shall make manifest, then He Who shall appear after Him Whom God shall make manifest, then He Who shall appear after Him Whom God shall make manifest, then He Who shall appear after Him Whom God shall make manifest, then He Who shall appear after Him Whom God shall make manifest, then He Who shall appear after Him Whom God shall make manifest, then He Who shall appear after Him Whom God shall make manifest, unto the end that hath no end. Never shall My heart cease to rejoice in love of the mention of Him Who shall appear after Him Whom God shall make manifest, nor shall mention of this ever be cut off from the Books—all worship God through His bounty.

O Name, the All-Bountiful! Bear thou witness that God is an impenetrable, resplendent Mystery. He hath sent forth the Messengers and revealed the Books, that all might testify that there is none other God but Me, the Protector, the Self-Subsisting.

We give thee glad tidings of a mirror that hath been manifested from God, thy Lord, at the age of the number of Unity, that she might recite from God what she receiveth according to her nature, as a bounty from Us, for We are the Eternal. This is what she is well-pleased with, and through which she seeketh the good-pleasure of others. Blessed are they who attain!

We have sent unto thee a Tablet, and in its wake a remembrance from Us, for We are ever-mindful. Though bounty hath bestowed all things, yet the essence of bounty is greater in God’s sight, for through it are all things created.

This is God’s dominion; possess thou of God’s bounty whatsoever thou willest, for We are the Eternal. Yet thou canst not possess of heaven save what sheltereth above thy head, nor of earth save what thou sittest upon, nor of aught else save what sufficeth thee. Say: All are in God’s dominion and all do remember Us. Say: Glorified be God above what the describers describe, and how much more above what the describers cannot describe!

We have created all things through thee, so possess of thy Lord’s dominion what thou willest, for We have withheld nothing from Our bounty—a bounty from Our bounty unto Our bounty, for We are the Eternal. When thou wert among those who sailed upon the sea of names, We loved not to make thee descend into the sea of limitations, as a bounty from Us, for We are the Eternal. But as We desired that thy remembrance remain among the worlds, We made thee the throne for the manifestation of what We have mentioned in the Book, and We granted thee a portion of what We had ordained for the First Unity, as a bounty from thee, before and after, unto the worlds.

This beseemeth not bounty from one who was created by bounty, not from bounty itself. And what We mentioned before beseemeth not God, for We have bestowed bounty upon all through Our bounty, for Our bounty, as a bounty from Our bounty, for We are the Eternal. But thou, beyond what thou dost possess and what sufficeth thee, canst not possess aught of the worlds, nor doth it beseem thee to make mention of all things, for all things were created through God’s bounty. And whoso deemeth the cause of bounty greater than bounty itself—verily, all are created by God’s bounty.

Say: O God! Thou didst create me through Thy bounty, and didst provide for me through Thy bounty, and didst cause me to die through Thy bounty, and didst give me life through Thy bounty, and didst raise me up through Thy bounty, and didst decree that Thou wouldst treat me only through Thy bounty, as a bounty from Thee, for Thou art the Most Bountiful of the bountiful.

We love not that thou shouldst adduce in the Book what We have adduced for creation, for all worship God, thy Lord, before and after, some knowingly and some unknowingly. We have made thee Our Messenger unto the worlds. Give glad tidings to all of thy Lord’s manifestation, for this is the mighty, the impregnable glory. And warn against aught else, for this is a severe fire.

Write to all those who are beyond the sea: If ye desire to attain unto your Qa’im and your Mahdi, Who was promised to you aforetime, then attain before God’s grace and mercy pass you by, else ye shall die and then be questioned before God. Take from Our rights should anyone come to thee with honor, for We are ever-taking. Be independent of those who reject this through God, for We are independent of all things.

Write to Muhammad in Calcutta, saying: If thou desirest to be among the rightly guided, and to perform a deed that shall deliver thee on the Day of Resurrection and admit thee to paradise ere the believers, then will God accept from thee what thou hast heretofore wrought, and will forgive thee for that from which thou hast held thyself aloof. Thou shalt assuredly command that a crystal casket be fashioned for the body which ye have been promised, when God willeth to raise it unto Him, for this is better for thee than what thou hast done before or shalt do, if thou be of the […]. And send that unto him, or unto whosoever is upon the sea besides him, for verily We are the Deliverers.

And write that thou shouldst glory in this; therefore act accordingly, else God is independent of all worlds. Thou shalt surely die and be questioned before God, thy Lord, and shalt return unto the proof of thy Lord that which God hath ordained in the Book, if thou desirest to be of the guided ones. Otherwise, We are indeed independent of all things. All are Our servants, and all glorify Us by night and by day, and all are devoted unto Us. Were We not aware that thy breast would be constricted by journeying to the sea, We would have willed it, but We have indeed become independent of all that might result in thy breast being constricted by aught, as a bounty from Our presence, verily We are the Eternal. And remember the guides of thy Lord in that land and magnify from God with a great magnification.

And if thou desirest to meet God, then ascend from the paths of Basra that thou mayest guide Muhammad qabl-i-Taqi therein, then whomsoever thou seest in whom there is light, for verily We are the Guiders. And watch in all this that thou witness no grief, and preserve thyself by that through which thou wert among the powerful ones.
