BB00558: Letter to Haji ’Abdu’l-Vahhab
O supported Qiblih and glorified Dayspring—may God perpetuate your grace!
Although I have not attained the honor of your presence physically, yet by virtue of “souls are like recruited troops” I have found the cord of love connected.
I have risen to mention something of my distress, that by God’s will and power it may become the cause of removing oppression. Although the matter is evident as it is in the mirrors of the thoughts of those who manifest grace, and writing about it now would cause delay, yet a summary of the details is that by the decree of justice, one who is oppressed is now in the hand of an oppressor. What is expected from your honor’s kindness is that you will, with a glance of favor, arrange for the matter to be resolved in such a way that it is lifted from the source of the decree. And if you deem it advisable, grant permission for the horsemen to depart, so that if the Lord of the world, exalted be His mention, has ordained it, deliverance may be obtained, the blessing of attaining your presence achieved, and the heart find peace through revealing what is concealed within it.
And peace be upon those who gaze upon your countenance, and the mercy of God and His blessings.
