BB00493: Prayer for the hajj, for Mirza Muhammad ’Ali Qazvini
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I bear witness that there is no God but Him, and I bear witness to Muhammad and Ali and Fatima and Hasan and Husayn and Ali and Muhammad and Ja’far and Musa and Ali and Muhammad and Ali and Hasan and Muhammad, the Master of the Command and the Successor, peace be upon them, as God has indicated concerning them. And I bear witness to their followers as the Book has testified, and God suffices as a witness, and he who has knowledge of the Book is well-informed.
Then know, O my pure, steadfast and trusted brother—may the All-Merciful make you firm upon His path—say to those who desire God as God has taught them in His Book: “Say: He, God, is One. God, the Eternal. He begets not, nor is He begotten, and there is none like unto Him.” And say to those whom God has made people of the City that pilgrimage to the House is prescribed by God for those who are able to make their way there. And say to those whom God has made people of the City that God has ordained for you to journey among us through His true word: “Travel therein by night and day in security.” And whoever disbelieves, then surely God is Independent of the worlds.
And say to those who think of God with the thoughts of ignorance:
“Grievously odious is it in the sight of God that you say what you know not.”
And leave those who deviate concerning God’s names—they shall soon meet their portion of error as recompense for what they used to falsify.
The blessing has been perfected, the power made manifest, and the proof completed in this leaf by the leave of God my Creator, He besides whom there is no God, neither of the east nor of the west. So whoever wishes, let him believe, and whoever wishes, let him disbelieve. And God has given glad tidings to those who obey that Word: “Obey Me, I will make you like unto Me.” And surely God does not fail in His promise.
